Overview
A GPU cloud delivers high-end accelerator compute over a network connection, as a service rather than a purchase. Instead of buying servers outright, racking them, and maintaining them, an organization simply provisions the GPUs it needs and pays for what it uses. This turns what was once a heavy capital expense, with all the procurement lead times and depreciation that implies, into a flexible operating cost, and it puts hardware that would otherwise be out of reach within easy access of teams of almost any size.
How it works
The provider owns, houses, and operates the physical infrastructure, the GPUs, networking, power, and cooling, and exposes it to customers through an API, a control panel, or a reservation system. A customer requests capacity, deploys a workload onto it, and the provider absorbs the operational complexity beneath: hardware failures, firmware, cooling, and capacity planning all sit on the provider's side of the line. The customer interacts with compute as an on-demand utility, scaling up or releasing resources as the work in front of them requires.
