Overview
The AI factory concept reframes large-scale infrastructure as a production system rather than a collection of servers. It takes data and compute in as raw inputs and turns out trained, evaluated, and deployable models as finished outputs, continuously. The metaphor is deliberate: model development becomes an industrial process with throughput, quality control, and predictable cycle times.
How it works
An AI factory unifies GPU clusters, high-throughput storage, high-speed networking, and orchestration software into a single pipeline. Data flows in and is prepared, training jobs are scheduled across GPU nodes, candidate models are evaluated against benchmarks, and the best are refined and pushed to production. The same pipeline then feeds back in new data for the next iteration.
