“Hack Armenia” 24-hour hackathon brings together AI specialists to develop practical solutions
This weekend, Armenia's tech community gathered to explore whether AI can actually become part of real solutions to Armenia's challenges.

Hack Armenia, organized by Armenia LLM Summer School, AI9 Startup Campus, and YerevaNN, brought together developers, researchers, students, startup founders, and other AI professionals for an intensive 24-hour challenge. The task was to use LLMs to build practical solutions for real public-interest challenges in Armenia.
Participants worked in teams of three to four people. During the 24-hour event, they developed ideas, created working prototypes, tested their solutions, and presented the results to an expert jury.
Eleveight AI was glad to be part of this innovative community. Our CBO, Davit Arakelyan, joined the expert jury alongside representatives from the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia, OpenAI, AI9 Startup Campus, NVIDIA, Magical Labs, Async, OmniShift, and Evidenso.
While OpenAI generously awarded API credits to the top three teams, we decided to give a special prize to the solution that impressed us most. Our special prize went to the "HI — Human Intelligence" team, a solution designed for customs operations that automates the repetitive, item-by-item work involved in processing declarations, cutting hours of manual work down to minutes. This idea proved that the real value of AI lies in how and where it is applied.
We hope the $5,000 in GPU compute resources from Eleveight AI helps that team take their solution beyond the hackathon.
Congratulations to the winners, organizers, supporters, and everyone who spent the weekend building for Armenia. Rooms like this are enough to convince us that this country's future is in good hands, and so is everything we're building here.
